We are looking for the next voices inside the house. No holding back your creative minds here. Honey Venom Manor is seeking original, high-voltage flash fiction that moves through the dark, the suspenseful, the psychological, the non-linear, and the absurd. Build a narrative trap. Show us a puzzle box. Make us stop & think. Show us what you are truly capable of when you stop writing safe.

HVM WRITER RESIDENCY PRIZE — TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Ownership & Originality
Creator Rights: You retain full ownership and copyright of your work at all times. By submitting, you confirm that your entry is an original creation and that you hold all rights to the text.
Self-Published & Prior Work: Previously self-published pieces are eligible, provided you hold all exclusive publishing rights and the work is not restricted by any third-party agreements.
2. Rights During Deliberation
Sole Ownership: During the reading and judging window, your story remains entirely yours. Honey Venom Manor claims no ownership, rights, or licenses over non-winning entries.
3. Submissions & Fees
Multiple Entries: Writers may submit as many flash fiction stories as they wish. Each submission requires its own entry form and fee.
Non-Refundable: Submission fees ($5 standard / $10 standard + feedback) are non-refundable and support reading, curation, and the residency program.
4. Winner Contract & Publication Terms
8-Week Residency Commitment: Selected winner(s) will sign an official writer contract to produce weekly flash fiction pieces across the 8-week semester.
The "Articles Collection" Standalone Print: Winning pieces created during the residency will be curated into an official physical collection (e.g., Articles of [Author Name] | HVM Residency Writer), published, and offered as a standalone physical piece through the Manor.
Archive & Distribution: Published work will remain in the Honey Venom Manor print and digital archives long-term. Specific royalty structures, print distribution rights, and exclusivity terms will be explicitly outlined in the winner's formal contract prior to onboarding.
